For those who want to donate to support the people of Ukraine and the agencies working on the ground to aid them, two options are recommended.
The papal agency the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA) was founded in 1926 and for over 90 years has been helping the poor in the middle east and other trouble spots around the world. They are accepting donations in Canada for their people on the ground providing assistance. Canadians can donate to them at this link ( https://cnewa.org/ca/donate/)
and remember to select "Ukraine" from the "Donate To" drop down menu.
Development and Peace - Caritas Ukraine and Caritas SPES are also on the ground aiding those in need.
