A Sunday school teacher uses the gospel of the day to help the children of our parishes understand the message. 

Using discussion, song, acting, and reading to break open the message of the day. 

They provide an activity to help the children deepen their understanding of the message that can be taken home so they can share what they learned with their family. 

This role helps to build the family and church connection.
