This group of men and women welcome and serve parishioners throughout the mass. They are a ministry of first impressions for those walking through the doors of the Parish, smile be warm and welcoming. Get to know the parishioners
seat people coming into the church if they are unsure where to go
bring up gifts and collection money if no one else is there to do so
set up chairs if need during special occasions
extra duties as required to ensure the mass runs smoothly
a helpful face at the entrance of the church to assist anyone who needs it
elderly assistance, holding doors open, etc
Help newcomers locate washrooms, cry room or other spaces they may require.
A schedule is created, to add structure, but everyone is good about filling in if you miss your day.
Gift Bearers bring up from the community the bread or wafers and the wine which will be transformed into the real body and blood of Christ.
Depending on the vessels 2, 3, or 4 persons may be involved.
Families and couples are invited to sign up to bring the gifts at the Mass that they designate as their preference.
