This group consists of parishioners accepted by the Priest and mandated by the Bishop who serve, distribute and administer the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ during mass or afterwards (homebound, nursing homes, hospitals).
To be an extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion the following criteria is required:
you are a practicing Catholic
you are 18 years old
demonstrate a deep reverence for devotion to the Eucharist in public and private lives
there is a training following the rite of commission
you are commissioned for 5 years
you will be placed in rotation on the schedule and if you are unavailable on your assigned day you will contact other EM’s to find a replacement
